Pettersdotter Lejon, Johanna Kristina "Hanna".
Born 23/9 1859 in soldattorp No 58, Asaryd Nästagård, Asa.
Died 10/4 1911 in Kansas City, MO.
Emigrated together with her husband and one child to the USA 12/5 1884. They left Gothenburg 16/5 1884 to go to Kansas City, MO. Johanna and August lived in Duvedal until they emigrated. They belonged to the First Lutheran Church in the USA.
She wrote in a letter to Sweden 1901 that "now I have three in the Kansas City grave yard". That means two children had died before 1901 and her husband Jonas August died all of a sudden of stomach pain 1899. Her daughter Mina was suffering from a lung desease in June 1900 and died in December 1901.
Johanna visited Asa, Sweden in 1904, the children did not go with her. The youngest boy was living with relatives somewhere in the country side.
In June 1905 she married an american man who she called Mr. Allen. They divorced in the fall 1907.
1910 her brother August wrote that Johannas eldest son had died in August 1910. In 1910 her son Oscar was a coach man (driver) and Arthur worked in a printing shop.
The letters from Hanna tells she lived as a very por women. She moved many times in Kansas City to get less rent.

August and Johanna Lyon wrote in a letter in Jan 1915 that sister Johanna's son Oskar had married. He worked as a coach man for rich people.
